Who We Are
About
Masjid
A community dedicated to the pure monotheism of the Quran — worshipping God alone.
The Word
What is
a Masjid?
The word masjid is Arabic for “a place of prostration.” It comes from the root sujood — the act of placing your forehead on the ground in complete submission before God. Not a king, not a saint, not an idol. God alone.
This is the oldest and most universal form of worship. Abraham built the first house of worship for this purpose. Moses taught his people to bow in prayer. Jesus prostrated in supplication. Every prophet followed the same Abrahamic creed — one God, direct devotion, no intermediaries — and gathered in places set apart from the world to remember Him.
A masjid is that kind of place. Not a cultural center. Not a political body. A house reserved entirely for God — where people face one direction, purify themselves, stand shoulder to shoulder, and speak only to their Creator.
“The masjids belong to GOD; do not implore therein anyone other than GOD.”
“The only people who should maintain GOD’s masjids are those who believe in GOD and the Last Day, observe the Contact Prayers (Salat), give the obligatory charity (Zakat), and do not fear except GOD. These are the guided ones.”
Masjid of God is that kind of place. No culture. No nationality. No sect. Just God, the Quran, and sincere people seeking Him.
01
Our
Mission
Masjid of God exists to build and sustain a community of believers who worship God alone — purely, sincerely, and completely. Our mission is to follow the Quran as God’s sufficient guidance, establish the five daily contact prayers, support one another, and invite all people to pure monotheism.
We are not defined by a legal school, a political movement, or a national tradition. We are defined by the Quran — the word of God — and our commitment to its message above all else.
“All they were asked to do is worship GOD, devoting the religion absolutely to Him alone, observe the contact prayers (Salat), and give the obligatory charity (Zakat). Such is the perfect religion.”
02
Core
Beliefs
God is One
We believe God is absolutely One, unique, and incomparable. All worship belongs exclusively to God. We associate no partners, intercessors, or saints with Him.
"Say, He is the One GOD. The Absolute GOD. Never did He beget. Nor was He begotten. None equals Him." — Quran 112:1–4
The Quran is Complete Guidance
The Quran is God's final, preserved, and complete revelation to humanity. It is our only source of religious guidance. We approach it free of sectarian bias, allowing it to speak for itself.
"We did not leave anything out of this book." — Quran 6:38
Sincere Worship
Worship must be directed to God alone, free of show and social pressure. The Quran commands that religion be made pure for God, and we strive to embody that sincerity in every act.
"You shall worship GOD alone; you shall not set up any idols beside Him." — Quran 17:23
Rejection of Innovation
Matters of worship are defined by what God has revealed. We do not add to or subtract from religious practice beyond what is established in the Quran.
"Or do they have partners who decree for them religious laws not authorized by GOD?" — Quran 42:21
